Hoskins Update – Bulletin No.5

Air Niugini’s flight, PX 7244/241 to Hoskins airport today, Monday 01st July has been cancelled. In addition, PX208 will not stop at Hoskins but will operate from Port Moresby to Lae and Rabaul.
This follows a review of Hoskins operations yesterday(Sunday 30th June) which showed that there is still an unacceptable level of volcanic ash around the runway and taxiway.
Air Niugini will continue to review the situation and will advise when Hoskins flights can resume again.
We advise passengers who plan to travel to Hoskins not to do so at this time as you could be stranded in Port Moresby.
